Head of Production and Business Affairs/Producer

Rebecca brings her extensive experience in the film business to Braveheart Films in her role as Head of Production and Business Affairs/Producer, where she has been developing their slate of films.


Rebecca has been involved in film and television production for the past eleven years, working across Europe, Africa, Canada and the USA. After graduating with an honours Law degree from Edinburgh University she produced her first short film entitled SMASHING. She then went on to produce a series of shorts for funders such as the UK Film Council, Film Four, the BBC, Scottish Media Group and Carlton Television.

These have garnered between them three BAFTA nominations and twenty-four international film awards and feature such British talent as Kevin McKidd (Trainspotting, 16 Years of Alcohol & Rome), Laura Fraser (A Knight’s Tale), Helen McCroy (The Queen) and Tony Curran (Underworld 2 & Red Road).

With Framework Entertainment Rebecca Associate Produced Britain’s first Urban Black Gangster movie – ROLLIN WITH THE NINES. International Sales are being handled by American World Wide Pictures. She was also Head of Business and Legal Affairs/Producer and involved in the setting up of two feature film productions the horror films Heartstoppers and Warriors of Terra (with the production/sales company Peace Arch) and the action/adventure film Prisoners of the Sun directed by the Oscar winning Roger Christian.

She also produced the teen comedy POPCORN backed by Screen East and the UK Film Council’s Lottery Fund. Written and directed by Darren Paul Fisher, which had its UK theatrically and DVD release last year. International Sales are being handled by Moviehouse Entertainment, who have sold to it already to over ten countries worldwide. It was nominated as Best Picture at this year’s Creative East Awards.

Rebecca has also run the UK film distribution companies Spark Pictures and Route One Releasing and was integral in launching and Director of Programming/Commercial Director for two years at Rapture Television PLC a UK based youth entertainment satellite channel.

Recently she has completed the prestigious Inside Pictures course for Production Executives, run by Qwerty Films/CASS Business School.
