Stephen’s brings a wealth of business experience and contacts to his position of Executive Producer in Braveheart Films.
Stephen Major is a successful property entrepreneur, who has built a prosperous property development business and he is highly respected in local commercial property circles in Derbyshire.
In 1977, he formed his own joinery manufacturing business in Ilkeston which grew into one of the largest in the area. Three years later, Stephen became involved in residential property development constructing approximately 90 properties a year.
In 1990, he decided to move into the commercial sector and secured high profile tenants such as American Express, Rothschilds, GRE, Friends Provident, Derbyshire County Council, Nottingham Trent University, Hay Management Consultants Ltd, The Tarmac Group, AMEC, Experian, Nottingham County Council and HM Customs and Excise.
Stephen’s main businesses include Major Properties, Midland Joinery, Major Glass, Beardsley Construction and Major Construction. He is also involved in the building of in excess of one million square feet of industrial space per year and in the development of laboratories in Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Lancashire for the manufacture of pharmaceutical goods.
Having sold a proportion of his property portfolio Stephen has now joined Braveheart Films Ltd as Executive Producer, which he sees as an exciting and new challenge.
